Types of Newts and Salamanders

There are a large number of different types of Newts and Salamanders, many can be kept as pets. The stand out from other types of amphibians such as frogs and toads because unlike the others they have tails. Common to all types of Newts and Salamanders is the need for water in their environment, although not all types are confident in water they all require it in some form or another.
